Media outlets begin to ditch X amid concerns over misinformation

Major news outlets are starting to reduce their reliance on X, formerly known as Twitter, which was once a go-to source for global media.

Reports indicate that Elon Musk, the owner of X and an ally of former U.S. President Donald Trump, has been accused of enabling the spread of misinformation on the platform.

In a decisive move, the Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter has become the third major media outlet to cease publishing articles on X. Editor-in-Chief Peter Wolodarski stated that since Musk took over the company, the platform has increasingly aligned itself with his and Trump’s political ambitions.

Prior to this, the UK’s center-left daily, The Guardian, announced it would no longer post content from its official X accounts, labeling the platform as "toxic."
